A/Prof Andy Ewald
Dr. Ewald earned his B.S. in Physics from Haverford College and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the California Institute of Technology. He completed postdoctoral training at UCSF and then joined the faculty at the Johns Hopkins University. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Departments of Cell Biology, Oncology, and Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins and a member of the Breast and Ovarian Cancer Program in the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Ewald is internationally recognized for his research on the mechanisms of cancer invasion and metastasis, having given over 100 invited talks and received diverse awards from scientific societies and foundations. His lab receives support from the National Cancer Institute, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
